Güthe

Güthe van Buren-Schele was born and raised in Johannesburg and as an only child, indulged in drawing from a young age. After school, Güthe joined an apprentice program in the diamond industry as a diamond polisher and worked in the industry for 25 years here in South Africa and in Botswana as a diamond specialist. During his time in Botswana, Güthe started experimenting with acrylic on canvas during his free time. He became a full-time artist after retiring from the diamond industry and moving back to South Africa. Güthe specializes in various flower portrait and has recently branched out to doing different bird studies.
