Allen Kupeta

Allen Kupeta is a Johannesburg based artist. Kupeta depicts vibrant South African scenes in lush tones and vivid brush strokes. He is a self-taught abstract impressionist painter with a wonderfully unique personal style. Allen’s sense of color, shape and movement creates the most elaborate scenes of everyday South Africa.

Kupeta was voted the best newcomer at Black-like-Us in 2011, as well as the best emerging artist at Black-like-us in 2012. He also won gold at the Raphael Mural Art competition in 2012. He is regularly invited to display his works at the Krugersdorp Art Festival.
